Leeds Castle looks simply fantastic in the spring, and this year is no exception. The grounds have a beautiful array of woodland spring flowers, blossom on the trees, and vast areas of daffodils around the castle moat.
I visited Leeds Castle yesterday, as I was asked to acquire some photos for any new printed material that the castle uses. It was a fantastic day weather wise, and with the autumnal colours starting to appear it was perfect.
A 13th-century former priory set in glorious landscaped grounds, Historic house set in atmospheric gardens and grounds in the River Test Valley.
The picturesque Arlington Row cottages were built in 1380 as a monastic wool store. This was converted into a row of weavers cottages in the 17th century. The cloth produced there was sent to Arlington Mill on the other side of Rack Isle.
Nymans Gardens is starting to show all of its colour now, and wont be long to the full bloom of spring is out.
Rosham Gardens and Stately Home was a truely magical place, we happened to visit just when the sun was warming up the dew on the ground, causing beams of light through the trees.
Ightham Mote is an outstanding 14th-century moated manor house with lovely gardens, with lakeside and woodland walks. This makes this location ideal for photography, especially on a good clear day.
